The Faculty of Sports and Human Studies aims to foster competent professionals to respond to the rising demands for sports and health amid a transition to a lifelong learning society. We likewise aim to contribute to the creation of individual health and the stimulation of regional sports.Our program features curriculum composed for the purpose of fostering teachers and sports instructors. In the first year of this program, we assist students to obtain qualifications and provide initiatives to help them pass teacher employment examinations. There is also a rich array of exercises to enhance communication skills. Essential for instructors, in addition to learning practical sports theory through classes using sports facilities and the latest equipment.Students aim to become supporters of people’s hearts and mind by being considerate and understanding of others.We aim to foster our students to be considerate individuals by deepening their understanding of people and by examining interpersonal relations and contemporary social issues such as crime, delinquency and truancy. Students begin their learning journey by examining their own personalities, worries and families. We cultivate clinical psychologists through four years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate school.Fostering students to be professionals of pre-school education and childcare and to be capable of responding to the needs of the workplace using knowledge about psychology.We aim to foster specialists to provide support for the entire child-rearing process. We train our students by deepening their understanding of parental concerns, as well as the hearts and minds of children based on the theory of child development psychology. After graduation, our students can choose their career path to become kindergarten teachers, nursery school teachers, childcare supervisors, civil servants, company employees, or to become graduate students.Regional revitalization through knowledge and skills for linking together sports and businessSports business is work that directly or indirectly supports athletes and/or sports. We foster professionals to be active in sports and the workplace, through various learning experiences, consisting not only of knowledge about sports, but also business administration and management, coaching skills, and health management.
